Christopher M. Jantzen

Christopher M. Jantzen is a 1980 summa cum laude graduate of Boston College and a 1984 cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School. Mr. Jantzen is the managing partner of Jantzen & Associates, P.C. which is conveniently located in the heart of Boston at 4 Liberty Square. As a well-recognized trial lawyer, Mr. Jantzen has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer by Massachusetts Super Lawyer Magazine in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, placing him in the top 5 percent of his profession. Mr. Jantzen combines 35 years of litigation experience in the representation of small businesses, small business litigation, commercial collections, insurance defense litigation, plaintiff personal injury, medical malpractice and helping people recover monies in fraudulent financial schemes. Mr. Jantzen is a noted lecturer in the field of 93A liability and gives courses on this topic for various insurers.

Mr. Jantzen’s successes in court are substantial and varied and include the following:

1. In May 2018, he successfully collected $380,000 on a $300,000 debt on behalf of a personal plaintiff against a corporate entity in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in the case of Ravi Mukthineni v. Ravi Paladugu, Naveena Lakshmi Paladugu & Akshita Properties, LLC, Docket No. 1:16-CV-10989-MPK;

2. He successfully represented Collt Manufacturing, Inc. in the Norfolk Superior Court in 2018 and 2019 resulting in the dismissal of a million dollar defamation suit against Collt in that court;

3. He was instrumental as defense counsel in exposing the “Pony Express” insurance fraud ring and saved MetLife Auto and Home over $600,000 in bogus and inflated lost wage claims, which garnered him the 2000 New England Association of Insurance Fraud Investigators, Investigator of the Year award;

4. He obtained a $2 million settlement for a young family in a medical malpractice case in Superior Court relating to the death of their infant daughter 10 days after birth;

5. He successfully represented the directors of Goodwill of Merrimack Valley in the New Hampshire Supreme Court, resulting in the defeat of a $2.1 million D&O claim;

6. Mr. Jantzen and his firm have recovered over $1 million for a disabled Vietnam veteran who was defrauded by relatives, by litigating in 2 Federal Courts and 1 State Court for the past 4 years;

7. In March 2019, he obtained the dismissal of OUIL charges against his client in Middlesex County Court based on a Motion to Dismiss sounding in improper translation of Miranda and Statutory rights to the non-English speaking defendant.

These are just a few highlights! There are many more as Mr. Jantzen, and the entire firm, maintains an active trial practice in the District, Superior and Federal Courts of Massachusetts and in Rhode Island, where he has been entered on several occasions as Pro Hac Vice counsel. He is a past and present member of the American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Section), the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Norfolk Bar Association.
