Christopher M. Jantzen

CHRISTOPHER M. JANTZEN

is a 1980 summa cum laude graduate of Boston College.  He is a 1984 graduate of Boston College Law School and a native of Needham, Massachusetts During the past  year and a half Mr. Jantzen has tried and won 6 consecutive jury verdicts.  In November of 2009 NewEngland SuperLawyers named Mr. Jantzen  a “SuperLawyer” in the jury trial lawyer field.

Mr. Jantzen has 25 years of experience in the trial defense of personal and commercial automobile liability, products liability, premises liability, director and officer liability, 93A liability insurance fraud (SIU), PIP liability and coverage matters.  Instrumental as defense counsel in breaking the “Pony Express” insurance fraud ring, he saved MetLife Auto and Home over $600,000.00 in bogus and inflated lost wage claims, which garnered him the 2000 New England Association of Insurance Fraud Investigators Investigation of the Year Award. 

He successfully represented the Directors of Goodwill of Merrimack Valley before the New Hampshire Supreme Court in March of 2007, resulting in the defeat of a $2.1 million “D&O” claim. He also appeared in a successful variance request before the Massachusetts State Board of Examiners for Plumbers and Gasfitters in March 2007, in a variance case of first impression before that board.

Mr. Jantzen maintains an active trial practice in the District, Superior and Federal Courts.   He is a past and present member of the American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Section ), the Massachusetts Bar Association, Middlesex County Bar Association and the Norfolk County Bar Association.

Heath R. WalkerHEATH R. WALKER

For the past 7 years at Jantzen & Associates, P.C., Mr. Walker has experienced significant trial success in matters such as commercial litigation, insurance defense, real estate litigation, premises liability, and product liability in the District and Superior Courts and Arbitration forums. He has also drafted and successfully argued appeals before the Appellate Division and Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Mr. Walker is a 1996 graduate of the University of Connecticut where he was a three year letter winner for the UCONN football team. Upon graduation, he then worked for CGU Insurance Co. (now OneBeacon) for three years as an claims representative, handling commercial and property loss claims before graduating from Suffolk University Law School, where he was a semi-finalist in the Walter H. McLaughlin Oral Advocacy Competition.

RIORDAN graduated cum laude from Boston University with distinction, in 1999.  A 2003, cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, he served as the Chief Production Editor for Suffolk Transnational Law Review.  He also served as a research assistant for Prof. Charles Rounds,Jr.’s publication of Lorring: A Trustee’s Handbook.

Over the past 5 years, Mr. Riordan has worked as associate litigation counsel successfully representing clients in the District, Superior and Federal courts in a variety of commercial litigation matters.  He has second chaired jury trials to a defense verdict, drafted and argued appellate briefs before the Appellate Division, Appeals Court, and Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.  He was admitted to the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts in March of 2008 and has also represented clients in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

Christina A. MadekCHRISTINA A. MADEK graduated cum laude from Boston College with a B.A. in History, in 2002. She graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 2006 and served as the Chief Case Comments Editor for the Suffolk Transnational Law Review. 

 

Since joining Jantzen & Associates , P.C. in 2006, Ms. Madek has developed extensive experience in a variety of complex litigation matters.  She has also successfully argued before the Department of Industrial Accidents, securing settlements for injured workers.  In addition, Ms. Madek’s specialties include prosecution and defense of contract claims, contracts for Home Improvement Construction and actions against contractors in violation of the Home Improvement Construction Statute.  Ms. Madek acts as junior trial counsel on all matters. 

She is also the author of Killing Dishonor: Effective Eradication of Honor Killing, 29 Suffolk Transnational Law Review 53 (2005) and the co-author of A Finger in the Dike? An Examination of the Efficacy of State and Federal Attempts to Use Law to Stem Outsourcing, 28 Northwestern Journal of International Law & Business 84 (2007).
